    VERSION 4.0.0.32

    • Release date 02/18/2022
    • Added: For Fast and Light collection we will now analyze dump files if found on the machine, but to keep the payload small we will not collect them in the zip file. Most of the time our HP support teams require dumpfiles to do a more in depth analysis for bluescreens, but the Fast and Light can be an easy way for frontline agents and customers to do a quick triage on a system and keep the payload smaller. While the Fast and Light collection normally runs in just a few minutes, if there are several dumps on the machine it may take around 10 minutes or more to complete the dump analysis with this change.
    • Added: For fast and Light collection we also added the [Event Logs Significant Entries] section which is also important for fast triage.
    • Known Issues: The HP SUDF interface in some instances is not reporting the latest deliverables on hp.com. This is in experimental mode right now, so the results you get from this should not be trusted. For commercial products please rely on the HP Image Assistant report.

    • Fixed: Enhanced Antivirus detection around Read/Write Everything. Sometimes we were being blocked when we didn't need to be.
    • Added: First attempt at an experimental HPSA report using the HP Software Update Delivery Framework (SUDF) Interface. This is intended to give a HPSA like report for consumer products. Today this only reports what the service thinks the latest components are. This report is NOT doing any real checks against what is actually installed on the system and if its the latest version or not.
    • Known Issues: The HP SUDF interface in some instances is not reporting the latest deliverables on hp.com. This is in experimental mode right now, so the results you get from this should not be trusted. For commercial products please rely on the HP Image Assistant report.

    VERSION 4.0.0.30

    • Release date 01/19/2022
    • Added Chassis Type to [Computer] section..
    • Enhanced EC Shutdown logs to support more products.

    VERSION 4.0.0.29

    • Release date 01/05/2022
    • Fixed typo on Recommended collection in log.
    • Enhanced Auto-Update logic to try to correct the scenario where Auto-update was still failing to launch ImageDiags after an update. Note: Because this code is executing the previous build, it may fail on this build, but hopefully the next auto-update should work seemlessly. After the auto-update completes, you may have to launch ImageDiags again to run it on this build.

    VERSION 4.0.0.28

    • Release date 01/04/2022
    • Added [Time Service] Section to assist in troubleshooting Windows time service and clock synchronization issues. There are two parts to this section. Win32 Time functions, and the settings in the registry. Refer to the sub-section links in the [Time Service] section for them.
    • Added the HP_DockAccessoryWMIProvider.log file to the dock folder in zip when there are no errors encountered.

    VERSION 4.0.0.27

    • Release date 01/03/2022
    • Fixed ImageDiags Auto-update sometimes not launching properly when a new version releases and an Auto update occurs.
    • Fixed Implemented a more complete fix for Edge Extension error in [Web Browser Information] as we were still seeing some failures.
    • Fixed error handling around Reliability Records and Event Log parsing. Sometimes Reliability Records can fail, and it was causing the whole section to be skipped. Now we will log the error and still execute the remaining section. Since Reliability Records relies on Powershell, we log the Powershell path in the registry as well.
    • Fixed HPDockAccessoryWMI was not working on some docks. We implemented the latest version of the WMI provider to correct this.
    • Fixed If HPDockAccessoryWMI fails, it was leaving a log file HP_DockAccessoryWMIProvider.log behind that was not being collected. We now collect that logfile in the zip and its no longer left behind where ImageDiags is run.
    • Added No logs message in EventLogParser to be more obvious for the section [Unexpected Reboots] section. Without that change we sometimes got duplicate headers listed if there were no events captured in either log file.
    • Enhanced the Bitlocker Registry settings collection in [Bitlocker Settings].

    VERSION 4.0.0.26

    • Release date 12/16/2021
    • Changed Notes section is more prominent on the collection screen for users.
    • Fixed Fan speeds reported correctly in Thermal logs.

    VERSION 4.0.0.25

    • Release date 12/15/2021
    • Added "Notes" input section under Collection Type page to allow user input, notes, comments, or observations to be captured in IDR.html and IDR.log file. This is helpful for annotating different runs of ImageDiags when testing or trying to capture problems for analysis by HP. The notes are visible under Collection Type in the top of the log or html file. Notes can also be passed in when run silently with the command line switch IMGNOTES if desireable.
    • Added latest build of HPIA Version 5.1.4.
    • Added ThermalLog.csv and Thermallog_New.log adds Celsius and Farhenheit numbers for easier reading.
    • Added Edge Version details to [Web Browser Information] section.

    VERSION 4.0.0.20

    • Release date 11/01/2021
    • Added: Parsing for System Event IDs 161 so we can tell if a BSOD occurred and the dump file was not created. If we see a 161 without 1001 that can be indicative that a dump file was not created after a BSOD.
    • Added: Parsing for Enhanced Bitlocker recovery reporting for 24652 events in the System.event log, and event 817 in the Bitlocker event logs.
    • Updated: HP Battery Check to use the latest release 1.17.8.0.

    • Added: Fix for ImageDiags sometimes failing to complete and not creating a zip file. If we continue to see failures,
    • we need to collect the logs it leaves behind so we can analyze the cause of the issue.

    VERSION 4.0.0.16

    • Release date 10/28/2021
    • Added: Thermal logging added and collected in folder \ThermalLogs as ThermalLog.csv and ThermalLog.log. This reports

    • Added: Added Powerslider registry key settings in the Collect Logs section.
    • Added: Increased the duration for batteryreport to 14 days, and the duration for sleepstudy report for 28 days.

    • changes in behavior from how it was working.

    VERSION 4.0.0.12

    • Release date 10/28/2021
    • Added: HPIA version 5.1.3 is now included which includes Windows 11 support.

    • If Full collection is selected, C:\program files (x86)\landesk\ldclient\sdmcache will be in the System Logs\IvantiSDMCache folder.
    • Because the payload can be pretty large, we do not collect the SDMCache folder for other collections unless the user selects it manually.

    VERSION 4.0.0.11

    • Release date 10/28/2021
    • Added: BIOS Vendor in [Computer] Section. This will report HP on HP Core BIOS systems, and whoever the vendor is if its an OEM BIOS
